Job Description:

Experienced bank lending attorney (a) with a strong background in high net worth lending products including demand and committed securities based loans, unsecured loans, and custom loans including commercial real estate, alternative investments, art, and cross-border transactions and (b) to provide broad based internal legal support and strategic advice to the Global Wealth & Investment Management (GWIM) lending business segment of Bank of America, N.A.

Primary areas of focus include providing legal support in structuring, negotiating and documenting GWIM loans; developing and maintaining form term sheets, agreements, and other documents; assisting with developing and updating policies and procedures as well as ensuring that proposed transactions are in compliance with such policies and procedures; providing time-sensitive advice and support on individual transactions, including providing advice on applicable consumer and bank regulations; assisting with loan workouts and distressed loan scenarios; assisting with internal and external audit and examinations.

The position requires a close working partnership with various clients and colleagues including product management, underwriters, document preparation groups, client-facing personnel, risk management, compliance, regulatory and audit partners, and other functions that support the GWIM lending business.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience preferably within a law firm setting as well as in-house within financial services

Strong understanding of loan documentation, applicable consumer and bank regulations, and applicable securities laws

Strong communication and drafting skills and demonstrate experience and confidence in risk identification, analysis and resolution

Strong risk management skills with a commercial and pragmatic approach to resolving issues

Must have a strong work ethic and a proven ability to multitask and perform within a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Must have a JD and at least one state bar admission (active/good standing)
