Chief Financial Officer

Attractive base salary 50% bonus additional upside Coach and mentor a high-caliber finance and accounting team Based in Arizona Seeking a CFO with strengths in FP&A and cash management to design the capital structure of a highly profitable CPG business that is rapidly expanding its portfolio and footprint.

As an integral member of the executive management team, you will directly manage financial planning activities and determine the best mix of debt, equity, and internal financing for a well capitalized, high-growth business.

You will be accountable for accurate and timely financial reporting for all company business entities while managing banking relationships and maintaining appropriate internal controls, processes, and systems.

What will you be doing?

Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports; monthly profit and loss forecasts by business unit, balance sheets, and ongoing cash flow projections Develop, maintain, and report on capital spending and company ROICs.

Assist in the development of financial planning and analysis exercises/reports as needed.

Oversee cash flow planning and ensures availability of funds as needed for future investments, and asset management.

Design financing strategies and manage processes.

Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, auditors, public officials, etc.

Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive forecasts and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s current year operations and business plans.

Oversee weekly cash management, approve weekly AP/check signing, and provide support to collections activities Review all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and corporate/overhead cost allocations.

Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for all managers.

Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.

Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and coordinate all audits and proper filing of tax returns.

Remain up to date on financial management best practices and state and federal laws.

Mentor and develop high-caliber finance and accounting team.

Manage work allocation, offer training, oversee performance evaluations, and build effective team dynamics.

Manage the company’s legal compliance and insurance programs.

Assist CEO and President on the company’s real estate affairs consisting of leases and sub-leases, and negotiate new leases or lease renewals.

The Ideal Candidate 12 years of successful finance career growth with direct oversight for finance operations and profit center management within a vertically integrated ag or CPG business.

Track record of designing a capital structure, and partnering with cross-functional business leaders in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.

Ability to implement structure, controls, and best practices from a mid-large sized CPG company or agribusiness that has experienced rapid, profitable, sales growth.

In-depth cost accounting and variance analysis is a significant requirement for the position.

Significant exposure to both company and individual tax planning.

Merger and Acquisition experience, although not a strict requirement, is a significant plus.

5 years of experience in a leadership capacity with experience coaching and mentoring a diverse team across accounting, finance, and IT.

Proven ability to establish business processes and metrics to increase profitability and productivity across a multi-state organization.

Experience working with information technology to manage operating, finance and accounting software packages.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with significant managerial and financial accounting experience.

CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
