Reporting to our Application Development Manager, the Lead Full Stack Developer (aka Application Developer IV) will support project delivery teams within the fast-paced Application Development team.

We operate very quickly and time to market is imperative.

This hands-on leadership position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing critical business applications and providing specialized technical and quick-hit solutions for strategic long-term as well as tactical near-term projects.

The Lead Full Stack Developer will be solving complex business problems with some of the latest technologies and working to implement transformational projects that deliver results to the bottom line.

This position is based at our Administrative Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), Texas.

Key Responsibilities Develop or modify complex software that is optimized for performance Maintain and supports existing software applications by identifying and resolves complex app issues and bugs Interact with business areas and business analysts to clarify requirement-related issues, as needed Test new installations and software before release to eliminate failures and impact Formulate and define application scope and objectives; formulate solutions to solve business challenges Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and providing leadership and guidance to other software developers Utilize system functionality and develop solutions to create an optimal customer experience Coordinate software architecture and delivery along with issue and defect resolution Evangelize the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and drive from real experience with SDLC practices and procedures using Agile methodology Document processes and technical requirements for management and team review Periodic on-call support on a rotating schedule After business hours production deployment and post-deployment support Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Military/other experience At least 7 years experience in Software Development 5+ years experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, React, Gatsby, or TypeScript At least 3 years experience with .Net, DevOps, Windows, Web Technologies, SQL, and Scriptwriting Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision Strong consulting and collaboration skills Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only – no relocation Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and not require sponsorship in the future Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree Experience building out CDN and CDI Azure pipelines Experience working in Agile development methodology Experience working with other frontend programming languages such as HTML or CSS is a plus, but not required Experience in a Financial Services organization Compensation Annual salary of $126,200 Benefits Medical, dental, and vision Voluntary life/ AD& D Short-term & long-term disability 401K with company match Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time Paid maternity, paternity, bereavement, extended medical leave, and jury duty Corporate discount program on “personal cell phone accounts” with select providers Corporate discount program on Microsoft 365 “Home Use Program” Business casual work environment About Cottonwood Founded in 1996, Cottonwood Financial is one of the largest privately held retail consumer finance companies in the United States.
