This is a Contract position in San Antonio, TX posted July 3, 2022.

Atlas Advisors, LLC (ATLAS) is searching for a self-motivated independent thinking business leader who is detail-oriented and enjoys impacting change through process improvement.

This position will lead to additional growth opportunities with an industry-leading and emerging small business.

Under the supervision of the CFO, this role will have the opportunity to impact the entire business cycle of our organization.

The successful candidate will be able to successfully manage the monthly close process, payroll, and other process improvement initiatives.

The candidate will work on-site directly with ATLAS staff and management.

This role requires someone who has the ability to work across disciplines between human resources, accounting, and finance.

A portion of this role’s responsibilities include duties traditionally found within the Controller position.

RequirementsDIRECTOR, FINANCE AND HUMAN RESOURCES MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; eight years of related experience including supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.

Experience in a government contracting financial support capacity.

Knowledge of government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs).

Experience in all areas of the accounting cycle is preferred, and attention to detail, strong analytical thinking skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to various systems/software tools.

Proficiency and/or familiarity with GAAP, cost accounting, FAR, DCAA, and Quickbooks.

Strong verbal and written communications skills required; must effectively communicate the scope of work and technical findings or recommendations to a non-technical audience; ability to produce readable, concise, and accurate written documentation required.

Must be able to isolate issues and define problems clearly and articulate solutions in a clear, concise, and consultative manner.

Internal and external training opportunities may be available for candidates that have do not have all the required skills, i.e., there could be on-the-job training for some of the requirements above for an otherwise truly exceptional candidate.

Successful completion of a pre-employment third-party background check, drug test, and credit check.

DIRECTOR, FINANCE AND HUMAN RESOURCES DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree or CPA Reporting Skills, Deadline-Oriented, Effective Time Management, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Productivity, Verbal Communication.

Familiarity with Google Centric Business tools as well as advanced Excel capabilities.

Knowledge of FAR Part 31 cost principles and/or experience calculating indirect rates.

Intermediate knowledge of QuickBooks at a minimum and knowledge of other common Government Contract (GovCon) accounting systems (Costpoint, Jamis Prime, Unanet, etc.) Current Security Clearance and/or ability to be granted one Prior U.S.
