Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) SaaS Senior Analyst

We are currently seeking a talented Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Senior Analyst to join our downtown Chicago office located in the heart of the Loop.

As a Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Analyst, you will join our growing accounting team and combine quantitative and qualitative analysis to highlight business risks and opportunities for business units.

Participate in the continuous planning process by delivering detailed analysis related to product pricing and revenue forecasting to help your business partners achieve their financial targets.

Provides financial analysis support to department managers.

Participate in special projects, preparing financial data as necessary.

Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline.

Usually determines own work priorities.

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Financial, Operational, Ad-hoc analysis
– Combine quantitative and qualitative analysis to highlight business risks and opportunities for business units.

Participate in the continuous planning process by delivering detailed analysis related to product pricing and revenue forecasting to help your business partners achieve their financial targets Business partnering
– Develop trusted relationships with and be the primary Business Finance point of contact for leaders.

Collaborate with leaders to provide the visibility they need to make key business decisions Business performance reporting
– Prepare monthly/quarterly financial review presentations (including collecting, formatting, and analyzing information) and assist in communicating the materials to senior leadership teams Budgeting and forecasting
– Drive monthly/quarterly revenue and expense forecast cycle, ensuring accurate projections, appropriate level of reporting, analysis, and communication Business processes
– Become acquainted with business processes and highlight opportunities for automation and process improvement with cross-functional teams Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required 5-7 years related FP&A / Operational / Strategic Finance experience in a SaaS or subscription based environment Proficiency in analytical and financial modeling skills (Excel / Google Sheets), with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to navigate systems for analysis and reporting Exposure to accounting principles (revenue, cost of revenue, operating expense) and their application to periodic financial reporting, planning and forecasting.
