About This OpportunityThis position will perform technical accounting research over various accounting issues as requested by management.

This position performs review of company contracts including acquisition, divesture, supply and IT contracts and analyzes for accounting implications.

This position will also support month-end close, perform monthly flux analysis for balance sheet and P line items for executive review purposes and reconcile a large volume of general ledger accounts.

Responsibilities: Perform technical accounting research to address accounting issues and assist management with the implementation of new accounting standards.Perform contract reviews including review of single-site acquisition and divest contracts, leases, as well as complicated supply and IT agreements.

Analyze contracts reviewed and document the accounting impact in accordance with GAAP to be communicated to accounting management.Perform monthly P and balance sheet flux analysis for certain P and balance sheet line items for management review.

Coordinate with business owners to understand and document the business reasons for the P and balance sheet flux.

P flux analysis is conducted during our preliminary close and may require extended time to complete.Prepare month-end close journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.

Will be responsible for the coordination of timely clearing of items for assigned general ledger accounts and communication of issues to the appropriate individuals within the company.Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 control procedures and company procedures.

This role will assist in administration of our internal control self-assessment platform (RCTS) to ensure timely compliance.

This role will also assist with tracking our quarterly key spreadsheet inventory.Prepare selected financial statement footnotes and various schedules for the reporting package to our parent company in Japan (SEJ) on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s/4 Yr DegreeYears of Relevant Work Experience: 3 yearsCertifications: CPA certification is preferredStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

These skills are essential in performing contract review and analyzing accounting impact of each contract reviewed.Demonstrate ability to apply principles of accounting to analyze and prepare financial information.

Perform account research and analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes.Knowledge of accounting that includes spreadsheet preparation with Excel.

Streamline processes by utilizing the system to download/upload data.Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
