This position can be based in Dallas, TX or El Paso, TX.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Corporate Accounting, we are looking for a forward-thinking associate with proven abilities and achievements in a relevant accounting or finance role. You will be responsible for various tasks related to month end close, general ledger review, account reconciliation, and other tasks as assigned in support of shared services. Prepare transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

  • Perform general accounting and other related duties
  • General ledger journal entries, schedules, and analysis prepared in accordance with GAAP
  • Month-end closing process tasks
  • Complete account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts
  • Cross-functional interaction with Treasury, Tax, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Business Units
  • Prepare and validate schedules and support work papers for SEC reporting
  • Account and variance analysis
  • Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Evaluate current department processes and offer input to improve or create efficiencies
  • Special projects and task as needed

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Intermediate to advanced abilities with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle R12 experience
  • Hyperion Reporting or Essbase experience
