We offer Primary Care, Walk-In Urgent Care, limited Specialty Care
– including Cardiovascular, Radiology & Imaging, Medical Laboratory, and more.This is a non-exempt, clerical position responsible for receiving incoming telephone calls in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner, greeting/assisting visitors in the same manner, scheduling upcoming appointments for follow-ups and testing.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls.

Routes call appropriately, offering voice mail, paging, or redirection of calls as needed.Greets visitors and assists them as appropriate.

Phones or pages employees to meet visitors, direct visitors to appropriate waiting areas, and appropriately and courteously screen solicitors for relevance to organizational needs.Prepares daily worksheets including eligibilities, referrals, prior test reports, etc.Explains financial requirements to the patients or responsible parties and collects copays as required.Balances monies at the close of the business day.Obtains prior authorizations for tests ordered by cardiologists.Manage multiple schedules in a fast-paced, busy office Other duties as assignedQualifications: Knowledge of HIPAA and EMR requiredHigh school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of medical terminology and organization servicesKnowledge of individual responsibilities to accurately direct callers and schedule testing appropriatelyKnowledge of insurances and basic billing practices in a medical settingPrior experience 1-2 years in a customer-focused roleSkills and Abilities:Computer systems experience, eCW preferred.Ability to document clearly and concisely in a medical record.Requires excellent customer service skills.Ability to use multi-line phone system, including transferring calls.Adequate hearing to answer the phone and speak with patients.Ability to speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard by callers and patients.Ability to elicit appropriate information to route calls to the appropriate person.Ability to prevent, calm, or defuse irate callers and patients by working with them to identify concerns and properly direct calls._______________________________________ Please apply online.
