Construction Manager (19765)

This is a Full-time position in Cedar Park, TX posted July 31, 2021.

Construction Managers are responsible for the daily operations of on-site construction, including scheduling/managing subcontractors, cost control, resolution of day-to-day issues on the job site, and verifying that all work during construction complies with plans and specifications.

Responsibilities
Coordinate all construction activity in accordance to company policies and procedures Utilize internal scheduling system to ensure completion of high-quality homes on time and within budget Assist with material take-offs, verify delivery and ensure the proper storage and use of materials on site Schedule inspections Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety requirements Proactively recruit and hire subcontractors, assisting with the establishment of labor budgets and ensuring that actual costs do not exceed the budget Oversee subcontractors to ensure quality control and timely completion of work Engage with customers during pre-construction, pre-drywall and home buyer introduction meetings to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction Maintain a thorough understanding of, and ability to accurately communicate to our customers, our 1-year builder warranty, 2-year mechanical warranty, 10-year structural warranty and homeowner maintenance recommendations for our homes Provide superior customer service during warranty calls, as assigned by the Project Manager (PM) Maintain a thorough understanding of: Our construction policies and procedures Community HOA requirements and deed restrictions Local building codes Community standard features, options and pricing Work closely with the community sales team to ensure open communication on all matters, including construction progress and estimated completion dates for each job site

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or 4 years in US armed services Ability to read blueprints and construction documents Strong organization, interpersonal and communication skills Attention to detail and persistent follow-up Ability to solve problems and make independent decisions Team player with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and build relationships with team members, subcontractors, and customers
