A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN HVAC MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGERAs an HVAC Mechanical Construction Project Manager, you have the important responsibility of ensuring our jobs are completed on time and on budget.
Your engineering experience serves you well as you coordinate all aspects of project management from the design phase to closeout.
You know that exceptional results require an exceptional crew, which is why you personally interview, select, and manage subcontractors.You’re efficient when prioritizing tasks, and you competently appraise bids, allocate resources, review submittals, monitor equipment delivery logs, and approve change orders.
Throughout the project, you maintain the schedule, and you assess progress by conducting field inspections and creating detailed reports.
You also oversee activities involved with commissioning and certifying installed systems.
With a focus on safety, you coordinate electrical and life safety inspections and provide resources for owner training.As a collaborative team player, you work closely with our project team, superintendent, quality control manager, and architectural and engineering team.
You conduct weekly production meetings, providing updates to management.
Dependable and thorough, you take accountability for completing the project punch list before handling the closeout of contracts.
You’re proud that your efforts are essential to our projects becoming a reality QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN HVAC MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGERBachelor’s degree in the mechanical field OR equivalent educationLicensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas10 years of related work experienceDo you have a strong work ethic and a desire to learn?
