Legacy Community Health is a premium, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides comprehensive care to community members regardless of their ability to pay.

Our goal is to treat the entire patient while improving their overall wellness and quality of life, in addition to providing free pregnancy tests, HIV/AIDS screening.

At Legacy, we empower patients to lead better lives by promoting healthy behaviors and offering resources such as literacy classes, family planning services, and nutrition and weight management information.Our roots began in 1981 as the Montrose Clinic, with specialization in HIV education, testing, and treatment.

Since then, the agency has expanded to 10 clinics in Houston, one in Baytown, two in Beaumont, and one in Deer Park with extensive services that include: Adult primary care, HIV/AIDS care, pediatrics, OB/GYN and maternity, dental, vision and behavioral health.

We also service students within KIPP and YES Prep schools.

Legacy is committed to driving healthy change in our communities.Job DescriptionThe Construction Project Manager is responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing assigned construction projects from inception to completion.Essential FunctionsLead, manage, and track all phases of the project, not limited to design, preconstruction, procurement, and construction.

Project types include new clinics, remodeling of existing space, and overall expansion efforts of the Agency.Manage procurement for project-related contracts.Become familiar with contract terms and ensure compliance.Draft request for proposals (RFP’s) and solicit bidders.Work with internal Agency stakeholders to establish programming needs.Review proposals, prepare comparison and submit to VP of Project Management for review.Develop and monitor project budget.Review and process project invoices.Collaborate and interface with Architects, Contractors, Engineers, Project Managers, Owners, and other project team members to ensure successful project completion.Work with building, construction, and regulatory specialists to ensure compliance with building safety codes and local and state regulatory bodies.Report project progress on a regular cadence.Monitor projects and identify and mediate project risks.Familiar with construction and project management software programs.Perform other duties as assignedEducation & Training RequirementsBachelors from an accredited college or university.BS in ConstructionCertification as Project Management Professional (PMP) or ten years experience.Highly organized and able to plan ahead and multitask in order to meet project deadlinesExtensive knowledge of construction methods and materials, costing, scheduling and work packages estimating.Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Highly proficient in Microsoft ExcelPrevious experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skillsUnderstanding of construction project management processesExcellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiating skillsWork ExperienceMinimum of 10 years experience in the construction field (preferably in a healthcare environment) with at least 5 years supervising projects in the capacity of General Foremen/Superintendent/Construction Manager.Conflict resolution and conflict management experienceBilingual, Spanish preferredBenefits9 Holiday + 1 Floating HolidayPTO403b Retirement PlanMedical / Vision / Dental (if eligible)
