Application Support Technician

PrimeLending is currently seeking an Application Support Technician .

In this role, the qualified candidate will be the central point for user contact to report computer application problems or address questions and requests related to PrimePath or other software programs or systems, as needed from time to time.

Responsibilities:
Assist users with computer application inquiries in a timely manner and provide solutions by troubleshooting issues.

Respond to requests via telephone, email, remote access and in-person.

Remain continuously logged into phone queue in order to take incoming calls from end users.

Use ticketing system to track and route all issues reported to the Application Support helpdesk and document the details, troubleshooting steps taken in order to escalate the issue, or the steps taken to resolve the issue.

Consult with Process Improvement Manager to develop understanding of the varied and complex business needs supported by the system.

Understand the role of the system and provide ideas and recommendations regarding the integration of the system in day-to-day business.

Respond to questions and influence the client regarding system structure, how it functions and how their role is affected by the system.

Review implemented system changes/improvements and provide feedback on overall effect to all users.

This may include testing, documentation, and providing subject matter input.

Build effective relationships with business units/departments and/or outside vendors in support of the systems and corporate processes.

Participate in staff/team meetings to ensure awareness of industry standards, internal trends and best practices in order to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage operations or systems development.

Experience or expertise in one or more specific area of business, such as loan processing, underwriting, closing, or loan origination is preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to demonstrate analytical skills with pay close attention to detail.

Maintain a professional image, positive attitude, and adhere to standards consistent with company policies and procedures.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Excellent computer skills, including word processing and database software and business systems.

Ability to understand concepts governing relational database structures, and ability to learn additional programs as required.

Demonstrate ability to interact effectively with branch, regional and corporate personnel.

Demonstrate excellent judgment and decision-making ability.

Must be available to work all regularly scheduled hours; arriving at scheduled reporting time and at the prescribed time after any breaks or lunch periods.

Must be able to work overtime, as required.
