Customer Service Rep in The Colony

This is a Contract position in The Colony, TX posted July 12, 2021.

CornerStone Staffing is currently recruiting for the following position:

Job Title: Customer Experience Specialist

Location: The Colony, TX

Shift: 8 am – 5 pm Mon-Fri

Pay: $15-16/hr. BOE

Job Description:

  • Process & place orders for products & services (cases, supplies, course registrations, PRC registrations).

  • Handle a broad array of customer inquiries regarding product offerings, pricings, billings, etc.

  • Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and chats.

  • Follow-up via phone and email with orders on hold or in waiting approval status.

  • Provide technical support to troubleshoot customer issues and assist in utilizing the appropriate products or services.

  • Investigate and analyze inquiries from customers and follow up in a timely, courteous and professional manner.

  • Inform appropriate departments of certain requests that are initiated by customers and record feedback.

  • Document customer complaints and work with other departments on the investigation of the complaints as needed.

  • Update customer records in our system based on the communication with customers (including address, phone number, email changes, etc.)

  • Maintain broad knowledge of products, pricing, promotions, and procedures.

  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.


  • Excellent multi-tasker

  • Superb computer skills (Internet, Outlook, Microsoft, Excel, Chat)

  • Ability to toggle between multiple systems and/or applications in a Windows environment

  • Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail, someone that can pull from instructions and fulfill the request

  • Someone that isn’t afraid to ask questions when they have them.

  • Tech savvy, someone that is able to navigate a computer well and work between multiple screens

  • Strong experience in answering phones and speaking with customers in a friendly, professional manner

  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills required. Spanish fluency is a plus

  • Knowledge of ERP, CRM software, Sage system preferred, but not required

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently

  • 2+ years of customer service experience, or equivalent experience.
