Customer Service Representative I

Mouser Electronics, Inc

This is a Full-time position in Mansfield, TX posted May 24, 2021.


The Customer Service Rep I is responsible for providing service excellence to customers by processing orders, quotes and assisting customers with catalog information, while always maintaining and exhibiting Mouser Values to each and every customer.


Sells company products and services via telephone, internet, e-mail, fax, and live chat while establishing relationships with customer in assigned territory.

Meets specified sales objective and meets outcall objectives.

Provides price and delivery quotes to customers within customer specified deadlines.

Determines customer needs and plans based on information given by customer and previous experience.

Makes suggestions and pursues sales possibilities beyond customer initiated requests.

Researches and expedites customer orders.

Monitors and ensures delivery date and product quality to meet customer requirements, verifies customer orders are processed correctly.

Confirms special handling orders are expedited.

Closing sales while exhibiting Mouser Values and inputs each order in systems accurately and precisely.

Achieves specified profit margins; obtains approvals for exceptions.

Produces a high volume of productive customer contacts and expands product knowledge utilizing all available sources.

Constantly demonstrates a positive attitude toward self and others by interacting effectively and maintains professional manner and positive attitude through verbal and written contacts with external and internal contacts.

Exhibits strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills and always analyzes the impact of decisions before execution.

Regular attendance at work is an essential part of the job.

Job Requirements:


High school graduate or equivalent and minimum of 18 years old.

Minimum 4 years post high school experience including minimum 2 years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Ability to verbalize and express themselves well in a telephone environment.

Clear enunciation of English.

Courteous phone voice and phone hearing.

For Bilingual: read, write and speak Spanish and English.

Skill Evaluation: Spanish 70% Internet savvy and familiar with internet E-Commerce.

Ability to use our telephone headsets.

PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment, proficient with internet e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other software.

Able to read and understand a terminal/PC screen and printed reports.

Skill Evaluation: Math 90%, Spelling 80%, Typing 40 WPM, Basic Excel 70%, Call Center Audio 80%
