RG Healthcare Solutions seeks Medical Assistants to support Federal, State, and Local COVID-19 vaccination operations.

Anticipated assignments will include local and national opportunities in support of an unprecedented vaccination effort.

The Certified Medical Assistant will serve as part of the COVID-19 Vaccination operations Clinical Services Support Team.

Job Purpose
The Medical Assistant is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients.

The main purpose of this role is to support clinical operations staff and assist patients coming in for their COVID-19 vaccine.
Duties And Responsibilities
Greets and prepares patients for getting their COVID-19 vaccine.

Obtains and records vital signs including, but not limited to blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.

Prepares, cleans, and sterilizes instruments and maintains equipment, disposing of contaminated items according to protocol.

Keeps patient exam rooms stocked, clean and orderly.

Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns to the healthcare provider(s).

Ensures safety checklists/quality controls are completed as required.

Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights.

Participate in performance improvement activities as they are available.

Attend in service education, as required.

Comply with all safety policies and procedures in the work area, including the use of protective equipment when necessary to prevent exposure to potentially infectious agents Understand and comply with applicable federal, state and local laws and company policies Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
H.S.

Diploma/GED Equivalent Certified Medical Assistant New Graduates of Medical Assistant certification are welcome!

CPR/BLS required
Experience
No experience necessary, new grads welcome!
Skills
Knowledge of medical terminology.

Excellent customer service skills, and ability to make patients feel at ease.

Appear friendly, reassuring, and approachable to patients.

Ability to take instruction from health care provider.

Demonstrated sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations.

Familiarity with medical charts and records.

High attention to detail.

Maintains a positive, caring attitude towards patients.

Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.

Must have time management skills Be organized and reliable Tech savvy (tools used Tablets and PC laptops, barcode scanners etc.) Good overall health: able to stand for 2-hour intervals and lift 20 pounds Willing, if needed, to be tested for COVID-19 Comfortable wearing PPE (mask, gloves, goggles, coveralls) for 2-hour intervals Bilingual in English and Spanish would be an asset.
