Retail Support Specialist – Call Center

The ideal candidate is responsible for managing inbound phone calls and answering customer questions/concerns.OUR COMPANY OFFERS GREAT BENEFITS, INCLUDING:* Generous Paid Time Off (PTO)* Opportunity for advancement* Medical, Dental, Vision, & Retirement Benefits* Employee Purchase Discounts of 30% or moreKEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:* Answers all store inbound calls and answers general inquiry questions.* Paging calls over the store’s intercom system.* Transfers telephone calls to the appropriate department by using discovery questions to assess the customer’s needs.* Ensures that emails and phone calls from business partners and customers are resolved and responded to within 48 hours of receipt.* Quickly and efficiently navigates between multiple systems to research customer inquiries.* Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them to meet critical deadlines.* Demonstrates exceptional written and oral communication skills.* Must be a subject matter expert on the company’s computer programs.* Adheres to the work schedule provided while maintaining consistent and reliable attendance.* Positively and respectfully communicates with customers and company departments.* Attends mandatory training sessions and completes training modules in the company’s LMS system.* Assists in a store location during sales holidays, as designated by the manager of retail operations.* Supports the store’s backend functions as deemed necessary.* Occasionally, the store support advocate will be asked and expected to perform various, miscellaneous, and non-standard duties as required. Such duties are diversified in nature and may be changed from time to time to suit the needs of the company.* Other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.* Some college or equivalent work experience is desired.* Microsoft Office experience.* Strong computer skills.* Cash handling experience.* 1-2 years of customer service experience (preferred but not required).* Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.* Ability to multitask without sacrificing quality of work.Ashley Furniture HomeStore is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
