Creative Resource Manager (Salt Lake City, Utah)

Full Time Hours The Creative Resource Manager will be responsible for managing the operational and administrative inner-workings of the creative department, including staffing, utilization, freelance management, and performance assistance review.

In conjunction with executive creative leadership, this role will work closely with all parties to lead the day-to-day operations of the creative department to ensure that work streams function as efficiently as possible.

The Creative Resource Manager will focus primarily on optimizing resourcing, staffing, structure/systems and working with the department heads and HR on talent development to improve and maximize the agency’s creative product.

This role will report to the Chief Creative Officer.

Core Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our entire Creative team across Creative Services, Creative Resources, UI/UX, Studio Operations and Production.

Partner with the Creative Director’s to ensure that the operational prowess of the department is seamlessly aligned with our client’s creative endeavors and aspirations Delivers regular status updates to executive leadership teams and builds relationships with executive leadership, understanding the various needs of each, as well as all employees within the departments.

Work collaboratively with Account Management, Resource Management and Project Management to determine the staff needed for all assignments.

Coordinate and attend weekly resource meetings with creative, project management, and resource management teams.

Champion internal systems for higher agency efficiency; develop and refine processes to improve the overall effectiveness of the creative department including communications and productivity.

Partner with Resource Managers and Project Managers on all freelance needs and to obtain approval for freelance requests, as well as extensions when necessary; making internal action plans and freelance recommendations.

Support human resources department with onboarding of freelancers, acting as their first point of contact, ensuring that they are set up correctly and have the necessary tools and understanding of the assignment to ensure contractor onboarding is efficient and communication is clear Collaborates with Talent Acquisition to identify new talent; reviews, analyzes, evaluates creative portfolios and vets all creative talent for the agency Maintains and builds relationships with staffing agencies, ensuring they understand our requirements for placements such as desired fee caps, talent requirements, personality fit, contract terms, and more.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Years of Experience Minimum of 2-4 years Resource Management or Traffic experience preferred Agency or in-house experience a plus Experience in Recruiting, Networking and/or Talent Management Experience with software/solutions for resource management, project management or workflow management a plus Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook and Smartsheet a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to work independently and as a team player Strong interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills Creative problem solving and a “can do” attitude Ability to work effectively under pressure and multi-task
