Director, Creative Services

This is a Full-time position in Austin, TX posted July 24, 2021.

The Director of Creative Services is a member of the Creative Services team within the Marketing Department and reports directly to the Sr Director of Creative Services.

This individual is responsible for leading a team of talented designers, writers and content creators to develop best in class assets for the Kendra Scott brand.

This includes but is not limited to all e-commerce and print collateral, visual brand standards, social media content and visuals, content strategy and copywriting, as well as creative direction and execution of on-model shoots.

Responsibilities
Provides clear creative direction for the Creative Services Team through visual boards that detail mood, graphics, prop styling, illustration/lettering, type, color, composition and photography direction as needed to help bring concepts and visions to life for seasonal collections, packaging, sales, holidays, creative initiatives, branding work, and more.

Provides clear Content Strategy and copy inspiration for the Content and Copy team for their work on seasonal collections, packaging, digital communication, catalogs and more.

Works closely with Sr Manager of Digital Creative on look and feel of all digital assets, including site refreshes (homepages, landing pages, shops, microsites i.e.

Color Bar™, special launches, etc.), email marketing, social media visuals and digital ads.

Works closely with Sr Manager of Print Creative on creative concepting of all printed materials including catalogs, packaging, store visuals, printed ads and invitations, as well as in-store visuals including window artwork.

Works with Social Media partners to ideate on Social Media Content and visuals, establishing best in class practices while thinking outside the box, and taking calculated risks on these ever-changing platforms.

Works with Sr Director of Creative Services to conceptualize overarching look and feel for non-campaign shoots including shoots for PDP’s, capsule collections, and signature-focused shoots.

This includes casting, identifying and hiring vendors and providing art direction for stylists, hair and makeup artists, photographers and videographers.

Responsible for overseeing budget for shoots and managing external Producer to help execute.

Makes selects post-shoot and communicates deadlines and editing notes to photographer/videographer, and hands over assets to relevant teams upon completion.

Mentors and coaches a team of eleven creative individuals.

Ensure that timelines and budgets are accurate and executed.

Requirements
7 + years at a fashion retailer with experience overseeing photoshoots and associated budgets, strong content strategy and copywriting skills, robust visual portfolio including digital and print design work.

Experience managing a team of 7+ individuals in a creative/art department Excellent written and verbal communication skills Has a sense of urgency when it comes to creating a best-in-class visual experience across digital and print platforms, and acts decisively to create momentum Passion for managing, coaching and developing a talented team and thinking strategically when it comes to the growth and structure of the individuals, processes and practices of their team.

Experience planning and executing on-figure photo shoots for a fashion company including casting, art direction for photographer/videographer, HMU artists and wardrobe stylists.

Experience planning and executing product shoots including art direction, lighting direction and prop styling.
