n n nn nn Title: nnData and Information Architectnn Job Description nn nnAs part of the Strategy and Architecture team, the Data and Information Architect will be responsible for providing technical leadership and strategic direction for the technologies, standards, processes, and architectures for information and data across the enterprise and creating and visualizing KBR’s enterprise data management governance framework to ensure access to the right data at the right time to enable better, faster decision making and accelerate automation opportunities.nn nnThe overall objective is to democratize KBR data with appropriate security so data consumers can find valuable, trustworthy single sources of truth data in turn enabling data to become a trusted and vital asset for operational insights and strategic decision making.nn nnThis role will also be expected to work as an integral member of the Information Security team and working collaboratively with Business IT data scientists and solution architects to ensure both security and business requirements are understood and addressed.

nn nn Job Responsibilities/Key Deliverables: nn nnBy partnering with key stakeholders, and through the rationalization of the information value chain, provide strategic recommendations to maximize the value of information assets via their creation, access, and usenn nnIdentify and assess strategic data requirements and prioritiesnn nnConduct business information modeling, assess potential data sources (internal and external, on-prem, multi-cloud, and SaaS) to build an inventory of data needed to implement the architecturenn nnCreate a prioritized holistic, up-to-date map of the KBR data landscape with automated data discovery, sensitive data classification, and end-to-end data lineage.

Empower data consumers to find valuable, trustworthy data.

Collaborate with Information and Business experts to understand their information and data requirements.

Work with IT teams, business analysts, and data analytics teams to understand data consumers’ needs and develop solutions.nn nnCreate and maintain current
– and target-state data architectures.nn nnDevelop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support data analysis and business intelligence.nn nnCreate a fluid, end-to-end vision for how data will flow through the organizationnn nnIntegrate technical functionality (e.g.

scalability, security, performance, data recovery, reliability, etc.)nn nnImplement measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibilitynn nnConstantly monitor, refine and report on the performance of data management systemsnn nnMeld new systems with existing warehouse structuresnn nnDefine and manage standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure data quality, including the production of data dictionary & standards.nn nnMaintain a corporate repository of all data architecture artifacts and proceduresnn nnResearch new opportunities for data acquisitionnn nnDeliver KBR data governance framework & guidelinesnn nnEnsure new technology solutions and development are in alignment with data architecture and security principles and target state.

Oversee end-to-end data life cycle management activities.nn nnEvaluate and recommend emerging technologies for data management, storage, and analyticsnn nnThe Data and Information Architect will need to ensure a thorough understanding of the KBR’s Information and data classification, retention, and labeling requirements.nn nn Job Qualifications nn nnBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fieldnn nnMust have prior proven experience in establishing Data and Information Architecturenn nnExperience in data warehousing, data modeling, and/or data analysisnn nnGood knowledge of data management, data integration, and database development techniquesnn nnExperience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Hadoop, Teradata) and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)nn nnExperience with ETL and other business intelligence toolsnn nnExperience developing data governance frameworks, reference architecture, security principles, and standardsnn nnCertified Data Management Professional (CDMP) desirablenn nn Technical Requirements: nn nn Technical nn nnData Modellingnn nnData Managementnn nnBig Datann nnData Warehousingnn nnDBMS (Oracle, SQL)nn nnEnterprise application integration software (e.g. XML)nn nnAgile methodologies and ERP implementationnn nnPredictive modelling, NLP and text analysisnn nnData modelling tools Data miningnn nnETLnn nnPython, C/C++ Java, Perlnn nnHadoop and NoSQL databasesnn nnMachine learningnn nnData visualizationnn nnExperience of regulatory and security requirements (e.g.
