Enterprise Architect

Texas Children's Hospital

This is a Full-time position in Houston, TX posted July 10, 2021.

We are searching for an Enterprise Architect
– Telecommunications
– someone who works well in a fast-paced setting.

In this position, you will provide technical services to analyze, design, and deliver clinical/business solutions.

You will lend expertise to answer technical consulting questions, individually or as part of a project team and serve as a subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with enterprise applications plans.

This role also prepares and participates in “deep dive” technical evaluation meeting and investigating processes to understand data and communications flow within the organization’s Integrated Delivery System.

This will be a telecommunications focused role.

Preferred qualifications/previous experience include
– * Cisco and Avaya telecommunications technology* Cisco IP Telephony: Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Contact Center, WebEx Cloud Connected Audio with Telepresence/WebEx Connect, Cisco Expressways* Avaya Telephony: Avaya Contact Center Express, Avaya Call Management System (v7 and V8), Avaya Application Enablement Server, Avaya Call Center Elite Multichannel, Avaya Session Border Controllers in a mixed environment of digital and IP solutions.* VoIP, UCCE & PBX solutions, porting, POTS line, DIDs and PRIs on SIP Trunks, H.323, and experience with overall VoIP solutions* Design, rollout/migration from Avaya telecommunications solution (or similar) to Cisco for an environment exceeding 25k physical phones, call centers, etc.

across more than 80 physical locations in Houston and Austin (role is based in Houston, Texas Medical Center)* Associated solutions such as Calabrio, Uptivity, and reporting tools* Routers, switches, VoIP, Video, NTP, CUBEs, and SIP PSTN services design* Collaborative solutions to include: Spaces such as huddle spaces, conference rooms, etc.

Software; WebEx, MS Teams, Zoom and associated supporting hardware; Cisco Spark/RoomKit/SX, Crestron, Poly* Project management and vendor relationship management* Desired/preferred certifications

Responsibilities * Translates business needs into detail requirement specifications.* Develops Architecture Specification deliverables that map customer business requirements into complete information systems (technologies, processes and people) or operational solutions.* Ability to lead the architectural design, development, deployment, and technical quality of large enterprise solutions that span multiple technologies and disciplines.* Provide architectural direction for multiple media to large sized projects concurrently in various stages of their lifecycle or a large project full time.* Develops conceptual (theoretical) model from multiple data sources to improve performance.* Works closely with the DBA and system administrators to help ensure the physical design meets the functional and performance requirements of the application.* Analyzes clinical & business use of existing systems to identify problem to be resolved and defines system applications or process improvements.* Represents Information Services as a participating member of designated committee.

Qualifications * High school diploma or GED required.* 11 years information systems architecture, design, and/or maintenance experience* A bachelor’s degree will substitute for 4 years of experience.
