Job Summary: The work performed in the FSNS labs is critical to keeping your family and ours safe every day.

The IT Department is an instrumental part of the lab process and we help ensure internal and external customers get what they need, when they need it.

As an Infrastructure Administrator, you will be a key member of the IT Team delivering a high level of customer service.

While this role has a primary focus on servers and networking, we work as a team and you will be responsible for supporting a large array of systems.

Essential Responsibilities: * Maintain and monitor VMware ESXi hosts, SANs, Windows patches and server environment* Administer nationwide network that includes VoIP and DMVPN* Work with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues on a timely basis* Schedule, perform and monitor system backups and as necessary perform data recoveries* Recommend hardware and software upgrades according to growth statistics and forecasts* Schedule, plan and perform system upgrades including coordinating the transition from test to production environments* Continuous improvement of the Business Continuity plan with the goal of reducing RTO and RPO* Schedule tasks using software support tools and scripts* Perform administration functions in Active Directory with Group Policy, DNS and PowerShell* Desire to expand IT knowledge and the ability to meet deadlines* Demonstrate wiliness and ability to mentor coworkers and share knowledge with internal customers* Rely on established processes, best practices and experience to minimize downtime and outages* Perform other duties as assigned* Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed* Develops documentation on procedures and processes* Flexibility to work after hours for projects, maintenance and support* Enforces security policies and manages access permissions* Ability to work well as part of a team and interact well with individuals at all levels of the organization* Ability to prioritize conflicting demands to prioritize, address, and resolve support issues Supervision: * This position has no supervisory responsibilities Education & Experience: * 4+ years of Microsoft Windows (MCSA and/or MCSE certified preferred)* 4+ years of VMware experience (VCA and/or VCP certified preferred)* 4+ years of Networking experience (CCNA and/or CCNP certified preferred)* Experience with Kace for scripting and/or PowerShell is preferred* 2+ years of SAN experience* Experience troubleshooting application performance on multiple platforms.* Proven expertise in customer service* Linux, SQL and SharePoint experience is preferred* Two year degree or equivalent certifications in the IT field* Requires 3 years of Systems Administrator or similar experience Physical Demands/Work Environment: * Sitting for extended periods of time* Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other* communications/computer components* Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.* Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, and microbiological pathogens* Noise level varies from quiet to loud* Temperature varies from hot to cold* Interactive and fast-paced team oriented tasks
