We are recruiting a high-performance driven Director of Public Relations and Events who is looking to build a new and impactful category in healthcare and nutrition. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-growing company that is leading the nutrition market.

The company has experienced rapid growth that continues to accelerate exponentially month-over-month. The company has received lots of organic press coverage, with notable mentions on the cover of Time Magazine?, National Geographic?, Newsweek? as well as being published in the top health journals, with 24 clinical trials and 7 granted patents.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the VP Marketing, The Public Relations and Events Director will have a key role in cultivating and building the public image of the company and brands aligned with the marketing strategy. The role is one about building a new category and breaking through the noise in the nutrition space; only company with products that are science-based, clinically tested and patented based on over 20 years of extensive research sponsored by organizations such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Accountabilities:

  • Create public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promotes the company and its products, science, and ideas.
  • Build and nurture relationships with media, health editors, health and wellness influencers to earn media placements and mentions that increase awareness of the mission of company and the breakthrough benefits of its products.
  • Lead the relationship with VIPs such as A-List users, top social/community influencers and ambassadors, Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Develop and execute online and in-person events that build awareness and exceptional consumer experience.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to create and update the online platforms, tools, communities that support influencer and KOL messaging, PR campaigns and content.
  • Lead relationship with PR Firm and seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and media presence.
  • Prepare and edit organizational publications, including press kits, newsletters, press releases, pitch letters, case studies, and updates for internal, shareholders, and external audiences.
  • Respond to requests for information release, press conferences, and prepare company spokespeople for response and presentation.
  • Manage PR budget effectively.
  • Track media coverage and report on industry trends.
  • Assist in the development of annual brand planning by assessing past PR programs, identifying creative approaches to build the category and the company?s position, and determining ROI and effectiveness of key tactics.

 

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited university with a concentration in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related major.
  • 10+ years? experience leading PR to build consumer brands and corporate positioning. Global experience is a plus.
  • Connected to editors and writers at Tier 1 media for corporate press and lifestyle outlets like Time Magazine, CNN, Vogue, etc.
  • Proven experience in forward-thinking, innovative tactics to build new categories and concepts in consumer products and creativity in securing coverage and buzz.
  • Strong ability to run PR campaigns that delivery measurable results and meet objectives.
  • Highly capable of collaborating with digital marketing for PR, working with bloggers, and leading Virtual Events.
  • Excellence in event planning and managing VIPs with high touch.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead and work collaboratively and effectively with various team members and key stakeholders.
  • Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
  • Self-Motivated and goal-oriented, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to create, uncover and recognize opportunities for improvement and proactively offer ideas and execute on them.
  • Ability to work from Dallas, TX office and travel 25%.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
