*We are offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for RNs with 2+ years of Mother/Baby experience!* *JOB SUMMARY* We are looking for RNs to work in one of our Mother Baby units.

The Registered Nurse (RN) exhibits and executes Baylor Scott & White Health’s (BSWH) Values & Behaviors in deliveringand coordinating patient care.

Utilizing the BSWH nursing professional practice model, the RN is a licensed professional who is responsible for using clinical reasoning, developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care, managing both emotional and physical patients, assessing patient and family level of understanding to provide effective communication and education, working collaboratively with medical staff and providing quality care in a compassionate and professional manner.

Our Mother Baby RNs are focused on providing comprehensive care to mothers and their newborns after the delivery.

Our Mother Baby RNs continuously monitor the health of mothers and their babies and provide baby care and lactation support, education and guidance.

Combined with their knowledge and understanding of patient safety, postpartum care procedures and prenatal and postnatal care, our Mother Baby RNs are adept at monitoring the condition of the mother-baby couplet and establishing solid communications between the mother and her medical care staff.

Ideal Mother Baby RN candidates will be knowledgeable of postpartum and couplet care procedures, understand labor and delivery practices and have excellent problem solving and communications skills.
