Job DescriptionWe are hiring CNA PRN for days / night shifts. SummaryProvide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Perform duties such as feed, bathe, dress, groom, or move patients, or change linens. May transfer or transport patients. Includes nursing care attendants, nursing aides, and nursing attendants. KnowledgeResponsible for being a positive example and champion for all aspects of Bellville Medical CenterMust have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all of our customers – our patients, our physicians, our staff and community leaders. Provides for patient’s personal hygiene and daily living. This may include providing and clearing bedpans and urinals, providing baths, backrubs, shampoos and shaves, and assisting patients with showers. Assists with meals and feeds patients. Ambulates, turns and positions patients. Provides fresh water and nourishment between meals. Administers enemas, douches, nonsterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths, and applies restraints.Performs I checks vital signs and weight; performs sugar and acetone urine testing, specimen collection, and post-mortem care.Works effectively as a team member in the delivery of care and assists in the orientation of new employees. Maintains good working relations with nursing unit staff and other hospital employees through appropriate communication.Instills confidence in patients by maintaining a neat appearance and performing duties in a competent and caring manner. Reports observations of patients to the nurse caring for the patient to ensure professional assessment.With specialized training and written approval, may perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned area.The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position. Experience and Skills Must have a minimum of 1-3 years previous accounts payable experience with all facets of A/PStrong Computer skills and basic knowledge in excel REQUIREDMonthly AP accrual and close experience Strong Customer service experience Education High School Graduate or GED (preferred) Licenses and Certificates: Certified Nurse Assistant with the State of Texas Conditions of EmploymentMay be required to submit to annual TB BMC will provide Hepatitis vaccination; candidate may decline vaccination through declination form or may provide record of vaccination from previous employer.Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment medical history check.Must have good attendanceMust be able to pass background checkMust be able to pass drug screenMust be able to provide authorization to work for any US employerMust be able to speak and understand English (English / Spanish bilingual preferred)Must be able to work a flexible scheduleWORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in an office / hospital environment.
