Clinic Operations Analyst

This is a Contract position in Kemah, TX posted August 21, 2021.

Description: JOB DESCRIPTION: With direction and guidance from leadership, position is responsible for coordinating activities related to The Emory Clinic four pillars: Clinical Quality, Patient Access Support Services (PASS), Clinical Ambulatory Redesigned Environment (CARE) and Service & Referral Management.

Duties are relevant to operational analysis, financial analysis, and/or process improvement initiatives.

Management/Supervision: Position is assigned to assist Sections or administrative departments on projects related to clinic operations, revenue cycle functions, patient access services and service/referral operations.

Position analyzes organizational systems and processes , makes recommendations for improvements and coordinates the implementation of changes; acts as a project lead in deploying operational soluctions.

Multi-tasking and flexibility to deal with diverse medical sections is required with a focus on customer service and positive business outcomes.

Professional Development: Works with manager to formulate plan for professional development.

Attends educational in-services as appropriate.

Reporting/Data Management: In their area of concentration, incumbent observes and analyzes business outcomes and offers innovative means to improve upon existing processes.

Assists with problem identification and resolution, with a focus on enhancing productivity.

Assists with collecting, organizing and analyzing data in addition to generating and providing accurate and complete reports for management.

Tracks operational metrics to support fact-based decision making.

Staff Resource: Attends required training programs and meetings.

Actively pursues opportunities to enhance knowledge and understanding of healthcare operations, patient service standards and revenue cycle management.

Attends meetings as required MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public administration, management or a related field; Master’s Degree strongly preferred.One year experience in healthcare, patient access, customer service, business or administrative position required.Previous work experience may be from internship or volunteer work while in college.

Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1-10 lbs 0-33% of the work day (occasionally), negligible 34-66% of the workday (frequently), negligible 67-100% of the workday (constantly).

Lifting 10 lbs max, carrying of small articles such as dockets, ledgers, files, small tools, occasional standing & walking, frequent sitting, close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks.

Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure, Bio-hazardous waste.

chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors, communicable diseases, electrical shock, floor surfaces, hot/cold temperatures, indoor/outdoor conditions, latex, lighting patient care/handling injuries, radiation, shift work, travel may be required, use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
