This is a Contract position in Copperas Cove, TX posted April 27, 2021.

Job title: Collaborating Physician

Location: Remote – Must be licensed in Texas

Start date: Immediately, or as soon as possible.

Schedule: Initially 1-3 hours per week. Will increase as the number of NPs increases over this year and beyond.

Pay: Hourly based on experience.  We also offer health insurance, vision, dental and life.

  • Job description:

    Collaborating with and supervision of nurse practitioners (NPs) employed by Casati in different states, helping them deliver the highest standard of health and wellness care to our clients. We will start with 2 NPs and increase to 5-7 NPs by around mid year. Also, in states that require it we will be setting up Professional Corporations combined with Management Service Organizations, and the CMO will be named as the qualified physician in such instances.


    • MD or DO (DO preferred). Candidates should have an interest in how all relevant factors affect a patient’s health – lifestyle, environment, etc.
    • Licensed and holds DEA in the state of Texas
    • BC in either IM/FP
    • Clean Background (no medical malpractice)
    • Willing to undergo NPDB, NPI, DEA and State board verification checks prior to onboarding

    Specific responsibilities:

    • Supervising NPs: In accordance with state requirements, collaborating with NPs remotely to ensure high standards of medical care in occupational settings.
    • Developing collaboration protocols: Working with the HOO who will be managing the NPs, developing the model over time for CMO-NP collaboration.
    • Named as qualified physician: being the named doctor for legal entities in states which require this.


    • Medical and caring skills, to consider and offer guidance around the medical problems the NPs confront
    • Ability to establish rapport and trust working remotely with a with a team of NPs, based at different sites
    • Flexibility to work in a startup company environment: adapting to help out when unforeseen problems arise

    The ideal candidate will have some of these – not essentials, but valuable extras:

    • Experience designing or running wellness programs
    • Experience with musculo-skeletal injuries
    • Experience with mental health or counseling
    • Experience with occupational health or ergonomics
    • Experience with nutrition
