Healthcare EMR Implementation Consultant

Job Description Position responsibilities: Provide guidance and act as a liaison between the product and technology teams, leveraging both clinical and informatics knowledge to support ingestion, processing and delivery of clinical interoperability data.

Primary responsibilities will include defining and developing standards, procedures, and workflows to ingestion, normalization and delivery of clinical data elements associated with “Patient Access” data.

Lead multi-disciplinary teams into HL7/FHIR integration efforts and interfaces using APIs and SMART on FHIR applications between external data sources and LNRSG solutions Design and develop robust security, privacy and quality assurance steps and procedures to maintain industry-best data quality and integrity.

Provide production support for data load or data transformation problems.

Design and develop processes for extracting strategic insights about trends and variability of interoperability data in support of product innovation and thought leadership Document and maintain robust knowledge base of data pipelines, data flows, warehousing, and all intermediary data processing, enriching or other data transformation steps.

Stay up-to-data on new developments and emerging technologies around interoperability concepts and standards as well as new data source assessments and integrations Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop education and sales materials for customers around data elements Serve as an internal SME on clinical data and interoperability Perform other duties as requested by VP Product, LNRS Healthcare Position requirements: In-depth knowledge of specifications, tools, and solutions for implementing and utilizing HL7, DICOM, CCD, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, USCDI, TEFCA, and other interoperability regulations, standards, and platforms.

Certification(s) in HL7, CDA, FHIR a plus.

Experience with healthcare vocabulary standards: SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, ICD, CPT, NDC, and others.

Knowledgeable on Cloud and API functionality, and implementation in the context of healthcare interoperability framework Experienced in claims and electronic health/medical record (EHR/EMR) systems and datasets, both structured and unstructured Experienced in databases (SQL), ETL, complex data analysis and analytical problem-solving Broad understanding of healthcare industry, government and private healthcare organizations, healthcare IT and interoperability vendors and solutions Strong work ethics with rigorous compliance to HIPAA and other privacy, safety, and confidentiality standards Advanced degree in clinical science, health informatics, computer science, engineering, information technology, public health, or related field 5 years of HL7 and/or FHIR hands-on interoperability experience 3 years of experience working as health care clinician/practitioner a plus
