Position Summary & Responsibilities: TheClinical Nurse Coordinator Intermediate Care Unit IMCU, under thegeneral supervision of the unit’s director or designee the CNCassumes responsibility for direction and coordination of allfunctions in the unit on his/her designated shifts.

Incollaboration with other members of the management team, thisindividual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the qualityof patient care services provided in the unit or department.

TheCNC: * Is a clinical Registered Nurse who can assume care for thepatient population on the assigned unit.

* Assumes responsibilityfor direction and coordination of all functions during thedesignated shift.

* Functions as a resource person for staff memberand assists in necessary education of individual members of thenursing staff.

* Assumes responsibility for the overall quality ofnursing care provided when s/he is on duty * Makes decisionsregarding activities with these areas based on AdministrativeOperational Standards, Nursing Administrative Standards, HumanResource Standards, and Standards of Care for the unit, incollaboration with other members of the management team.

*Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate,evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-, family-and person-centered care.

* Operationalizes evidenced-basedpractices to enhance patent safety and quality outcomes.

*Represents the organization positively within the community, andparticipates in company-supported and other healthcare relatedcommunity/patient events and in-services.

* Will assume leadershipresponsibility for the management of the unit in support of themanager/director, including direct supervision of a portion of theunit/department staff, payroll editing, performance reviews,coaching and developing staff, performance management, recognition,and other duties as assigned.

Each CNC on the unit will havedesignated responsibilities, that may rotate, within one or more ofthe following core areas: * Quality, Safety, and RegulatoryPreparedness * Patient Experience * Employee Engagement, PhysicianSatisfaction, and Culture * Fiscal Responsibility includingscheduling, overtime review, and supply management * StaffDevelopment including education and competency; New Graduate(resident) and Preceptor support We offer you an excellent totalcompensation package, including competitive salary, excellentbenefit package and growth opportunities.

* BSN required within 1 year.Magnet®/Pathways® Accredited hospitals require BSN at time of hire.* Current Texas RN license or RN compact license.

* Current BLSissued by the American Heart Association.

* Certification inspecialty required within 1 year.

* Completion of charge nursecourse required within one year.
