We take pride in the fact we havesuch a friendly culture while still being able to deliverexceptional care that rivals larger organizations.” PositionSummary & Responsibilities: The Clinical Nurse CoordinatorMed/Surg, under the general supervision of the unit’s director ordesignee the CNC assumes responsibility for direction andcoordination of all functions in the unit on his/her designatedshifts.

In collaboration with other members of the management team,this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of thequality of patient care services provided in the unit ordepartment.

The CNC: * Is a clinical Registered Nurse who canassume care for the patient population on the assigned unit.

*Assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of allfunctions during the designated shift.

* Functions as a resourceperson for staff member and assists in necessary education ofindividual members of the nursing staff.

* Assumes responsibilityfor the overall quality of nursing care provided when s/he is onduty * Makes decisions regarding activities with these areas basedon Administrative Operational Standards, Nursing AdministrativeStandards, Human Resource Standards, and Standards of Care for theunit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.

*Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate,evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-, family-and person-centered care.

* Operationalizes evidenced-basedpractices to enhance patent safety and quality outcomes.

*Represents the organization positively within the community, andparticipates in company-supported and other healthcare relatedcommunity/patient events and in-services.

* Will assume leadershipresponsibility for the management of the unit in support of themanager/director, including direct supervision of a portion of theunit/department staff, payroll editing, performance reviews,coaching and developing staff, performance management, recognition,and other duties as assigned.

Each CNC on the unit will havedesignated responsibilities, that may rotate, within one or more ofthe following core areas: * Quality, Safety, and RegulatoryPreparedness * Patient Experience * Employee Engagement, PhysicianSatisfaction, and Culture * Fiscal Responsibility includingscheduling, overtime review, and supply management * StaffDevelopment including education and competency; New Graduate(resident) and Preceptor support We offer you an excellent totalcompensation package, including competitive salary, excellentbenefit package and growth opportunities.

* BSN required within 1 year.Magnet®/Pathways® Accredited hospitals require BSN at time of hire.* Current Texas RN license or RN compact license.

* Current BLSissued by the American Heart Association.

* Certification inspecialty required within 1 year.

* Completion of charge nursecourse required within one year.
