Medical Device Sales Representative – Contract to Hire

This is a Full-time position in Dallas, TX posted June 25, 2021.

OVERVIEW

FDA approved, ISO 13485:2016 manufacturer division of life sciences company seeking ambitious, experienced Sales Representative to drive additional surgical disposables market share with new and existing customers, and secure OEM Contract Manufacturing business opportunities throughout the US and EU.
Working closely with market-leading Medical Device Manufacturers, you will generate leads, develop new accounts and expand usage of products within current accounts to directly increase sales revenue.
Primary contacts will include product development, senior account managers, engineers, buyers at medical device manufacturers.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of motivation to succeed, highly developed sales skill sets in the Medical Device sector.

Reporting directly to the Vice President / General Manager, Operating Room Division, this is a home office-based role, preferably in the Dallas, Texas area.

Up to 50% travel will be necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for uncovering new Contract Manufacturing business opportunities, developing and maintaining pipeline of potential sales to meet sales expectations.

Sell products by scheduling sales calls to meet with current and potential customers to fulfill revenue and business unit growth objectives.

Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales forecast.

Develop relationships with key OEM, distribution and hospital personnel through telephone conferences, conversations, meetings, participation in trade shows to make new contacts and to identify key purchasing decision makers in order to facilitate sales.

Determine new or next generation product needs, usage, and types of additional products needed by specific customers, by meeting with and asking in-depth questions of Product Development, Product Managers, Sourcing, Clinicians to learn which Repligen products and services can best address their specific needs.

Provide action plans (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) to identify the needs of accounts and discuss issues with Vice President / General Manager to help achieve annual sales goals.

Maintain current customer and prospect information in customer database (CRM) Provide pipeline and activity reports as directed in a timely and consistent manner

Qualifications:
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE PROFILE: Outgoing, exceptionally friendly personality, professional, ethical with at least 5 years’ experience selling to surgical device manufacturers of all sizes including start-ups looking for prototype work and market leading organizations.

Relationships with medical-surgical OEMS extremely helpful.

Someone who strives to think ‘outside the box’ when it comes to generating leads, opening new doors, using contacts to get to the right people and develop relationships.

REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or related.

5+ years outside medical-surgical device sales experience with proven experience as a high performing salesperson, Clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Must pass background check and drug screen.

References required.
