Responsibilities: Job SummaryPer Diem Position.

One day a week (6:30a-12:30p) and every other weekend.

Medical Technologist to perform biomedical analysis and blood draws when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities: to include but not limited to the following: MLT or MT certification preferred or ASCP EligibleAbility to operate diagnostic testing equipment such as, a centrifuge, blood analyzers, microscope and/or specialized laboratory equipment specific to the assigned laboratory area.

Works with considerable independence to perform and interpret various tests.

Ability to handle potentially infectious materials, such as blood and body fluid specimens while observing proper safety regulations.

Ability to collect blood specimens by venipuncture from patients.

Qualifications: Education/Experience:Bachelors Degree or a minimum completion of two years at an accredited college or university which includes course work in Chemistry or Biology.

Additional training or current membership in an accredited program in Medical Technology is preferred.Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar.

Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.If in personal recovery, a minimum of 2 years clean and sober.Minimum of two years experience required.AAC is committed to principles of equal opportunities for all employees.
