Pharmaceutical Sales Representative job description:
We are looking for a competitive Pharmacy Sales Representative who knows how to market and promote both sterile and non-sterile compounding. The Pharmacy Sales Rep will act as the key link between our pharmacy and healthcare professionals, and this person will aim at meeting sales targets. The goal of the Pharmaceutical Sales Rep is to increase the visibility and awareness of our pharmacy’s compounded preparations and to maximize sales growth.
Pharmaceutical Sales Representative Responsibilities
Assess clinics’ needs and present suitable promoted formulations.
Liaise with and persuade targeted doctors to prescribe our formulations utilizing effective selling skills and performing cost-benefit analysis.
Provide product information and deliver product samples.
Attend sales meetings, conference calls, training sessions, and symposiums.
Work with the pharmacy team to develop strategies and implement brand strategies to ensure a consistent marketing message.
Build positive trust relationships with medical representatives to influence targeted groups in the decision-making process.
Monitor and analyze data and market conditions to identify competitive advantages.
Keep accurate records and documentation for reporting and feedback.
Pursue continuous learning and professional development and stay up to date with the latest compounding data.
Pharmaceutical Sales Representative requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a Pharmaceutical Rep or in Medical/Pharmaceutical Sales.
Minimum one year experience in Sales for compounding pharmacy
Familiarity with databases, statistics, product lines, and the latest compounding issues.
Knowledge of MS Office.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills.
Highly motivated and target is driven with a proven track record in sales.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
BS degree in a relevant field.
