Description
Under pharmacist supervision, perform a variety of routine and advanced technical duties related to preparing and dispensing drugs in accordance with standard procedures and techniques.
- Perform specialized and advanced procedures specific to assigned pharmacy areas; including, but not limited to, preparing sterile IV medications, processing specialty boxes, refilling Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADC), maintaining ADC inventories.
- Label, fill and deliver medications to appropriate patient care locations.
- Inventory, order, receive and stock drugs and supplies.
- Receive and triage information requests; research and provide information where appropriate; refer other inquiries to pharmacist.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Pharmacy Technician – Texas Board of Pharmacy
- 1 year experience preferred
