This is a Full-time position in Fort Worth, TX posted March 25, 2021.

nn Opening: Contract Clinical or Anatomical Pathologist nn nn Start Date: 2021 nn nn Location: Fort Worth, Texas nn nn Facility: Donor Center nn nn Hours: Request only 4 hours per week, with a somewhat flexible schedule to visit the donor center every week.

This can be completed in one visit per week or multiple visits if provider prefers to break it up.

Provider must come into the center at least once per week.

We are seeking primary and backup providers for this location.

Details: Providers will not be seeing patients in this role.

They will primarily be quality checking work and information and signing off on that.

Providers will be working directly with the team of nurses/EMTs.

The facility will provide on the job training.

nn nn nn nn Responsibilities: nn nn Oversee EMT/LPN/RN (Physician Substitute) performing the following tasks: nn Determine plasma donor suitability based on company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

This includes: Review of medical health histories, Physical assessment, Review of plasmapheresis procedure, hazards, potential adverse reactions, and specific immunization, programs if applicable Providing informed consent, Counseling of donors regarding deferrals, and Documentation of interactions with donors.

Review of donor treatment and suitability following adverse events related to plasmapheresis.

Provide training for donor center medical personnel including, Physician Substitutes and other Physician(s).

Review lab results, as required, and exercise independent judgment to determine donor’s future suitability.

Perform CLIA Lab Director responsibilities for Moderate Complexity Testing.

nn nn nn Credentials: Must have an active medical license in Texas.

Must be board certified Pathologist (Anatomical or Clinical).

nn nn Compensation and Benefits: Provider will be provided a monthly retainer plus hourly pay for hours worked up to 4 hours per week.
