Job/Position DescriptionRegistered Therapist V Physical Occupational Therapist (OT) or Physical Therapist (PT) Starting Salary for this position is: $7260.41/ monthThe Mexia State Supported Living Center (MSSLC) is seeking an (OT/PT) to join an interdisciplinary team of professionals to provide clinical care to residents of the SSLC.

As a State Supported Living Center employee, the Habilitation Therapies Director will work at the SSLC campus with a dynamic group of staff and professionals who are dedicated to providing supports and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

(OT/PT) performs or oversees evaluation, treatment, clinical services and specialized modalities utilized in the treatment of individuals with multiple physical disabilities and serious medical conditions.(OT/PT) position plans, develops and implements complex physical nutritional management programs and treatment protocols to treat, improve, or maintain consumer’s level of health and function.(OT/PT) reviews and analyzes assessments, progress reports, incident reports, and medical consults and participates in quality assurance and quality enhancement activities related to provision of therapeutic services.(OT/PT) may plan, assign, and supervise the work of others.

(OT/PT) works independently with minimal supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and judgment.

(OT/PT) attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.

(OT/PT) will participate in IDT/ISP meetings to facilitate diagnosis and treatment planning.

(OT/PT will maintain open and regular communication with the other departments, IDTs and administration to ensure the transfer of needed information and continuity of services.(OT/PT) will be responsible for documentation in IRIS (OT/PT) Writes, reviews and analyzes assessments, progress reports, incident reports, and medical consults.(OT/PT) may oversee plans, schedules, and orthopedic equipment production, maintenance and repair programs, and designs and develops specifications for custom and adaptive equipment.(OT/PT) may oversee the coordination of the student internshipsand#146; programs for both Universities.
