We are seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager of Hemodyalysis for MethodistHospital
– Northeast.

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a RegisteredNurse (R.N.) with advanced leadership skills and is responsible for thecoordination of unit operations for all shifts.

In this leadership role theAssistant Nurse Manager promotes collaboration among all members of theinterdisciplinary team, facilitates patient care delivery and timeliness ofservice, role models and promotes excellent customer service, prevents and/orresolves conflict and, overall, provides for an optimal patient care and workenvironment.

In the absence of the Nurse Manager the Assistant Nurse Managermakes unit decisions in collaboration with the VP of Nursing or CNO.

Whatyou will do in your role:

Maintains clinical competence(typically spends 40% of time involved in patient care and 60% inadministrative functions.)

Responsible for the unit/s in theabsence of the Nurse Manager.

Makes decisions, after consultingwith the appropriate individuals, for continued unit operations in the absenceof the Nurse Manager.

Responsible for projects/processesthat are essential to the success of the unit.

(Charging processes, new hireorientation, maintain statistical data, time/attendance and QI).

Actively participates and managesoperations during emergency situations, including participation in disasterpreparedness.

Demonstrates successful conflictresolution in a timely manner with patients, families, physicians and otherhealthcare team members.
