Children’s Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) CVICU for a nursing job in Dallas, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Permanent BSN Required As part of the multidisciplinary team, this position is responsible for the care of cardiology patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. A successful team member in this position is a team player, flexible with changes, clear communicator, understands and assists with the roles of their peers, and is able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Highlighted Responsibilities Management of patients from newborn to adulthood with congenital or acquired heart disease. Pre/Post-operative management of patients undergoing open heart surgery. Facilitation and management of critical procedures at the bedside in the CICU, such as line placement and intubation. Modality Implementation: Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, Peritoneal Dialysis, ECMO (extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation life support), and Ventricular Assist Device. Float to PICU, TICU and Inpatient Cardiology Floor 12-hour Shifts with Weekend and Holiday requirements Shift : Night shift, 7p-7a, with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.
