Job Description Summary:Signature:The menu is straightforward and beguiling, featuring Andrew’s contemporary interpretations of classic dishes — fresher, brighter versions of traditional cuisine enlivened with unconventional Texas spirit.

We seek out the world’s finest ingredients and sometimes look no farther than our own backyard, where the herb garden brings just-picked flavors to your table.

Local and organic ingredients change the menu as the seasons peak and wane, but the constants are quality, flavor, artistry in the kitchen and a warm welcome when you walk in the door.This position provides support to all food and beverage outlets through cleanliness, organization and pace in the stewarding department.

These responsibilities include using proper cleaning techniques and designated equipment to meet property needs.The Steward shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times.

Job Description:Essential Functions:Ensures dishes are sanitized and available as neededKeeps sanitation solution up to company codes at all timesWashes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by handPlace clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areasPolishes silver and copperAssists in inventory of china, glassware and silverMaintains proper placement and organization of pots, pans and utensilsMaintains proper storage of dish dollies, glass racks and flatwareMaintains kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly conditionStock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, etc.Sorts and removes trash, placing it in designated pickup areasWorks diligently to avoid breakage and lossEnsures that all dishes and utensils are properly stocked and storedProvides general resort information for guestsOffers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guestsincluding use of guest name when possible & good eye contact with each guestMaintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special eventsInteracts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments when necessaryAttends mandatory monthly department meetings and appropriate resort and division meetingsMaintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.E.

broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons).

Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipmentReports to work on time as designated by posted scheduleRemains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times Experience and Education:High school education or equivalent PreferredAt least one year Hospitality experience preferredAt least one year stewarding/dishwashing experience preferredAt least one year of customer service experience requiredKnowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment/machineryKnowledge of proper chemical handlingMust be detail oriented and able to work in a fast pace environmentJob Requirements:Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permitMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be able to work well under pressureMust be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and writtenMust be highly detailed orientatedMust be able to work in a fast paced environmentMust have excellent listening skillsMust possesses excellent communication skillsMust be professional in appearance and demeanorMust always ensure a teamwork environmentAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidaysMust have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associatesMust have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful mannerMust have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests Working Conditions:Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking and stair climbing.Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder heightMust be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs; Must be able to bend, squat, push and pull frequently; Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, squeezing, overhead reaching and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently.
