Position Description Overview The Product Manager (PM) will have the opportunity to own and drive products directly responsible for business growth.

The PM will get to define KPIs and have true autonomy (i.e.

don’t ask for permission) over multiple products related to: Customer acquisition, retention, and upsell Automatically matching engineers to the right career opportunities … and other products Here’s why this role is exciting: We want this PM to grow and become a cross-functional product leader at the company.

As the product lines expand, the PM will hire new PMs and create new teams.

Since our pre-seed days, we have been able to attract product, engineering, sales, and data science leaders from top players in the industry, such as Facebook, Google, Uber, Capgemini, and Stanford University.

With our hypergrowth, we are in talks with many more.

The PM will have the opportunity to learn from and grow with an incredibly talented team.

Responsibilities & Requirements Must-have Technical background & engineer empathy Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field Since we connect engineers with the right opportunities, the PM must understand What makes a “great” engineer and their motivation Why some of them may be a better fit for a position than the rest How to design a delightful user experience for retention Make data-driven decisions Define and drive key metrics for customer growth.

The PM must have a proven record of creating meaningful KPIs rather than merely following industry best practices, many of which are vanity metrics and don’t neatly apply when we are pushing the edge of innovation.

The PM must be able to Dive deeply into data Write quick SQL queries when data scientists are unavailable Diagnose root causes in funnels Define success metrics for new products and features.

Cross-functional leadership Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Operations, Data Science, Sales, and Marketing for successful product launch and operation.

The PM will need to clearly communicate priorities and set the right expectations with those teams while being fun to work with.

Move fast and be comfortable breaking things Turing moves fast.

Teams routinely launch big experiments that may break the funnel and KPIs.

We expect everyone to launch ambitious experiments optimizing for long-term growth and be comfortable with short-term pain.

Hands-on Turing’s PMs are expected to “get their hands dirty.” Turing is a startup, and so there will be gaps and some things will be poorly executed.

This person will need to roll up his/her sleeves and bridge the gap.

Self-starter with a growth mindset and positive attitude Proactively seek out improvement opportunities in products and operations.

Reach out for user feedback.

Let’s have fun building things together.

Nice-to-have Relevant Experience 2 years of labor marketplace experience (e.g.

Upwork, Hired, Toptal, and LinkedIn) Experience working with operations The PM will be working with operations teams daily.
