Airswift: Senior Payroll & Tax Specialist


This is a Full-time position in Dallas, TX posted March 5, 2022.

Our client, a global leader in contractor management services are in the market to hire an experienced Payroll & Tax Specialist, to sit within their HR function and be based out of the Dallas office.

ResponsibilitiesAdministers various payroll procedures for all employeesAnswers inquiries from employees on payroll related itemsExpat tax administration such as:Provides tax service firm with payroll data for expatriate employeesFields questions from tax service firm with regards to expatriate pay details such sourced income dates and locationRequests tax true ups calculations and marginal tax rates for bonusesAssists the team in analyzing, preparing and inputting payroll data including:Bi-weekly and monthly payroll information for each entity (US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and UK) Entering payroll information for new hiresPrepares and enters bonus payments, incentive payments and taxable fringe benefit informationExpatriate shadow payrollBenefits administration – onboarding, invoices and other administrative processesManages tax inquiriesRetirement administration (401k, RRSP, UK pension, Superannuation and KiwiSaver)Processes annual taxable fringe recordingsMaintains payroll recordsPrepares payroll reportsManages various projects as designatedReport preparation for audits and ad-hoc requestsSupport and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy procedures and meeting QMS and ISMS objectivesAll employees have a professional duty to provide any information related to security issues, incidents or situations that present a potential security risk to the ISO Team, Management or their SupervisorOther tasks and projects as directed by managementEssential Requirements:Critical thinker with an inquisitive mindset Personality and desire to ask why they are undertaking a task and take an interest in the impact of their role across the wider businessAbility and desire to take on a broad and fast paced role requiring strong organizational skillsetExperience with the challenges involved in Expat payroll processesPayroll knowledge for United States and Canada are essentialAdvanced experience with a payroll system such as ADP WorkforceNow system or equivalentIn depth knowledge of state and federal wage and hours lawsProficient computer skills not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and e-mail applicationsAble to handle the demands of a busy and professional organizationAbility to manage priorities and report to multiple managersDemonstrated personal initiativeExcellent customer service orientationAbility to work on multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work well in a fast-paced environment Preferred Requirements:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited universityInternational payroll knowledge outside of US and CanadaBasic understanding of benefits
