You are team minded; effectively implement resources to produce desired outcomes and appreciate our core values of Integrity, Customer First, Love and Excellence.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:As a Career Services Specialist, you will:Provide information and assistance about career development, career search and careersInterview new students to obtain employment history, education and assist to establish career goalsIdentify barriers to employmentMaintain ongoing communications with students and graduatesAssist students with job readiness skills and with their job search strategiesMaintaining student records through campus database (Salesforce)Develop and maintain relationships with employers through frequent communication and networkingSolicit and follow up on job orders from employersCounsel and advise students and graduates regarding professional development and career success strategiesOversee job postings, registrations and applications on job placement websiteFollow up bi-weekly with non-placed graduates and assist where neededMaintain database of employer contacts and placement status of studentsKeep student portal/share point sites updated with announcements, links and other employment-related documentsKEY COMPETENCIES:Professionalism, trustworthiness, and ethicsExcellent oral and written communication skillsResults orientationAnalytical and Problem solvingOrganizationOffice AdministrationEffective verbal, presentation and listening communications skillsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experienceSalesforce experience a plusKnowledge of IT certifications a plusExperience in recruiting and/or sales environmentPHYSICAL & COGNITIVE DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
