Payroll Coordinator & HRIS

Kestra Financial

This is a Full-time position in Austin, TX posted July 18, 2021.

This role will be responsible for the payroll processing for Kestra Financial and the company owned Firms.

In addition, the position will assist with various administrative duties in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
Responsible for all payroll functions to ensure accurate, timely, and properly controlled payments to all employees on a bi-weekly and semi-monthly basis including the processing of 401(k) contributions, HSA, and FSA.

Process timely adjustments to paychecks as needed.

Assist the Administrator, Payroll and HRIS in the resolution of payroll and HRIS issues.

Reconcile benefit invoices, and provide reports to Accounting as requested Administration of payroll tax accounts, filings, and new account openings for Kestra Austin and owned firms.

Primary employee and vendor contact for day-to-day 401(k), payroll, and HRIS assistance.

Assist the Administrator, Payroll and HRIS on complex 401(k), payroll, and HRIS processes.

Assist in the modification of HRIS to suit organizational needs.

Maintain HRIS/Payroll feeds.

Responsible for all employee records for new hires, terminations, rate changes, information changes, direct deposits, and other payroll-related information.

Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES: 
Must have intermediate knowledge of Excel.

Must be able to create, read, analyze and reconcile reports.

Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must have strong attention to detail, possess strong organization skills, and be able to multi-task.

Ability to flourish in a rapidly evolving environment and shift gears at a moment’s notice.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Solid understanding of payroll processes, systems, and procedures a plus.

Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws a plus.

Desire for constant improvement of processes, creativity, and tenacity.

Highly motivated, a self-starter and have a strong work ethic.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
2-4 years experience in payroll processing 2-4 years experience in a detail oriented, analytical, and multi-tasking role required Experience in customer service preferred CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIO
