South Texas Blood & Tissue Center (STBTC), a subsidiary of BioBridge Global, is a not-for-profit community blood center specializing in a variety of services to include providing blood, plasma, platelets and other blood components to numerous hospitals in 43 South Texas counties.

STBTC is a community partner focused on enhancing health care through innovation and stewardship.General SummaryResponsible for providing oversight and coordinating fixed site recruitment and consistent goal achievement (for whole blood and apheresis product needs), including managing relationship and outcomes with vendor for outsourcing telerecruitment functions.

In conjunction with department management team, develop and implement training plan for donor recruitment (field and telerecruitment team) for sales process associated with consistent achievement of collection goals, whole blood and platelets.Commit to and abide by the character of BioBridge Global’s Core Values of Accountability, Stewardship, Pioneer, Integrity, Respect and Excellence (ASPIRE).

Support, communicate and reinforce the mission and vision of the enterprise.Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (including donors) through established feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.It is essential that the incumbent have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years old with a good driving record to meet organization driving standards.

Major Duties and Responsibilities Essential Tasks TELERECRUITMENT:Organize and provide oversight for the logistics, list management, and other liaison functions associated with outsourced telemarketing activities to meet and/or exceed 100% of assigned collection goals.Routinely monitor collection and inventory trends to assure appropriate type-specific recruitment.Coordinates donor messaging with BBG Corporate Communications and Director of Donor Recruitment in conveying critical and/or special needs to donors via the outsourcing vendor as required.In conjunction with Director and Supervisor(s) of Donor Recruitment, target and develops recruitment campaign for converting “C” Accounts to fixed site participation; in addition, prepares effective strategies for growing the apheresis donor base to facilitate consistently achieving budgeted collection goals.Monitor and analyze statistics reflecting performance and productivity for fixed site recruitment programs, including telerecruitment, small group recruitment; and mobile apheresis recruitment.Appropriately provide recommendations for improving productivity and/or customer service improvements.

Coordinate fixed‐site scheduling/staffing with Planning Ops/Donor Services.Coordinate with the Hospital Services Department to fill special orders and determine special telerecruitingrequirements (i.E.

whole blood—Brothers In Arms program; type specific products,and neo natal needs.Prepare management reports, program proposals, and recruitment materials as necessary.TRAINING:Responsible for taking leadership role in planning and executing onboarding/training for new Donor Recruitment staff, consistent with department’s executive team program initiatives, key performance indicators, values, and culture of result orientation.In conjunction with department management team, develop and implement standard account and territory management planning tools for donor recruitment staff.Post implementation, conduct routine monitoring and coaching activities, (field-based and in house) which assure maximum benefit through consistent application.In conjunction with department management team develop skill building activities around identified tactics to support strategic initiatives.Provide supervisory oversight to Donor Recruitment administrative support staff (part-time telerecruiters and Donor Recruitment Coordinator).

In addition to managing work direction, assists in selection and performance management process, including giving timely performance feedback.Performs other duties as assigned.

Non-Essential TasksServe as Spokesperson as required.Assist with media coordination as required.

EducationRequires sixty (60) hours or Associate Degree from an accredited technical/vocational institute, college or university.Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

ExperienceRequires three or more years of telemarketing supervisory experience.Outside sales experience helpful.Prefer moderate level of customer service experience.

KnowledgeMust be able to acquire extensive understanding of regulatory requirements in managing donor assertions.Must be able to acquire extensive knowledge of STBTC existing donor base and serve as subject matter expert related to customer relationship management system and overall list management.Must be familiar with current telephone calling practices.Must maintain knowledge of and perform according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.Must be open and willing to learn donor fundamentals of recruitment programs.

SkillsMust possess effective teaching skills, both individual and classroom environments.Must have excellent project management skills.Must demonstrate positive leadership skills.Must have strong computer skills.Must have excellent telephone and/or email etiquette skills.Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.Must have effective organizational skills.

AbilitiesMust be a self-starter and self-directed worker.Must be able to develop appropriate training materials in various formats and capable of adjusting presentation to meet learner(s) needs.Must be able to keep information confidential.Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment and perform multiple requests simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy.Must be neat in appearance and well groomed.Must be professional, organized, detail oriented, communicative, and have the ability to greet the public in a friendly and courteous manner.

Working EnvironmentWorks in a well-lighted, air conditioned and heated office.

May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards and other conditions common to an office environment.

May be required to work at any time of the day, evening or night during the week or weekend.

Ability to use personal motor vehicle for company business required.

Physical RequirementsWill sit, stand, walk, and bend during working hours.Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.Required to lift and carry relatively light materials.Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing corrected to a normal range.
