Cloud Design Engineer

This is a Full-time position in Dallas, TX posted September 8, 2021.

Top Stack Group has been retained by an enterprise organization with offices in PA and NJ to assist them in hiring a Cloud Operations Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time remote/work from home position with competitive base salary, structured bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. You must live within 2 hours distance from the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania, Holmdel, New Jersey, or New York City. No sponsorship available at this time.The keys to the role are experience with deploying and managing containers in AWS; specifically, using ECS, ECR and EKS, Cloud Formation (or Terraform), and a configuration management tool such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible. An understanding of Security (profiles, accounts, zones, routing tables) is important as well.Responsibilities:In this role you can expect to be exposed to tools such as: Jenkins, Groovy, Python, Puppet, Ruby, Terraform, JSON, YAML, Scripting languages (awscli, shell, powershell, bash etc..) and AWS Cloud InfrastructureDesign and develop automation workflows, performing unit tests and conducting reviews to make sure your work is rigorously designed, cleanly coded, and effectively tuned for platform performance, and assessing the overall quality of delivered componentsAbility to troubleshoot, perform analyses, design, develop, test, implement and support solutions for DevOps and cloud problemsAbility to clearly articulate and explain complex concepts and technologies to a non-technical audienceBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree3 years of experience as an engineer supporting DevOps methodologies, software development projects or infrastructure as code (IaaS) conceptsExperience with engineering solutions utilizing Continuous Integration & Delivery (CI/CD) Pipelines (Terraform, Jenkins & Puppet a plus)Experience developing automation workflows and routines using open-source toolsExperience with source control and development workflows Bitbucket, git, gitlab, etc… and Artifactory Preferred Qualifications:AWS Certified (Associate or Professional)1+ year of experience with AWS Services revolving Docker/Containers, and Kubernetes (ECS, EKS)3+ years of experience building with infrastructure-as-code tools creating automation to solve problems
