Your Role with the Company As a Computer Hardware Installation Technician, you will assist experienced technicians with the deployments and delivery of various Types PC hardware. Delivery of project specific hardware, manage equipment list with customer upon delivery. Install new PC hardware, remove/upgrade existing hardware, connect equipment and troubleshoot issues with new components. Communicate daily with the IT Project Manager on delays, requirements, and general status of jobs. Responds to customer service-related issues promptly by tracking installation tickets and inventory items for all resources assigned to a job. Background Profile At least two (2) years of experience in a similar technology field. Working knowledge of PC hardware, Windows, and iOS systems. Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred. Some out-of-town travel required. General PC hardware certifications preferred. Valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable, and well organized. Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work with diverse groups. Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date. Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations. Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.
