Network Administrator


This is a Full-time position in Irving, TX posted June 9, 2021.

Job Summary The IT Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining company networks (LAN/WAN), servers (email/file and print), and end-user computer systems.

Primary Responsibilities
Manage computer hardware, software, and networking for the organization.

Coordinate and troubleshoot department computer needs, including hardware, software and networking.

Ability to plan, deploy, manage and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, peripherals and networks necessary for operations.

Prepares project plans that outline expected tasks and activities.

Plan and deploy LAN/WAN infrastructure.

Administer and maintain the database servers.

Configure and set-up new servers and other requirements needed by the network.

Maintain Active Directory structure, security, and group policy.

Manage all business systems including, but not limited to, financial systems, ticketing systems, POS, and Cloud Applications.

Maintain aspects of our MS Exchange email and messaging infrastructure and Office 365.

Maintain the company’s anti-spam and anti-virus applications needed to protect the network.

Train and update all staff on network administration, computer software and computer hardware.

Maintain and monitor all wireless connections and fiber connections.

Maintain and upgrade, as needed, our network backbone, and maintenance of switches.

Maintain and upgrade, as needed, our firewall and telecommunications, including remote access.

Research and evaluate new software and hardware considered for purchase, in coordination with support staff.

Work directly with the support staff on the implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices.

Maintain patch schedule, virus protection, and local firewalls for desktops and servers.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to; DHCP, DNS, and Remote Desktop Services.

Bachelor degree in Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience (3 years)
3-5 years in network or a technology related field experience.

Experience with cloud-based applications and environments
– specifically Office/365, Azure and/or AWS.

Essential Skills
Excellent trouble-shooting skills with proven ability to identify and address root cause.

Strong time-management, organization, and prioritization skills.

Highly analytical and detail oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.

Physical requirements may include: remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time, moving short and long distances to access office supplies, meet guests, and perform duties for office management.

Climb heights, verbally communicate with both internal and external contacts, and occasionally lift objects no more than 50 pounds unassisted.

Ability to work flexible hours as necessary, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Please note: This position requires the ability to work onsite.
