Principal Software Engineer/ Devsecops

Principal Software Engineer DevSecOpsWe are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer who loves a challenge, thinks creatively, inspires innovation, and demonstrates high levels of energy and commitment.

You will work with teams across Dell to secure continuous integration pipelines and build environments, by leveraging your technical and functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing DevSecOps solutions.As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will have an opportunity to work with a highly collaborative and fun team in a fast-learning environment, participate in the secure design of new tools and services, vulnerability analysis of applications and devices, work with developers to resolve security issues, and build tools for security automation.You will: Support CI/CD pipelines and build environments to enable security outcomes.

This includes both securing these pipelines so that they are resilient to attack and improving them to secure code Partner with engineering teams to identify a build environment attack surface; co-design ways to mitigate security weaknesses and secure environments; and connect teams to resources that help achieve security outcomes Help implement existing or new capabilities and migrate teams to reference architectures to meet security outcomes Design, develop, test, and manage processes and tools in the DevSecOps toolchainEssential Requirements Securely design, build, deploy, operate, and monitor mission-critical, highly available software systems at scale, using DevSecOps best practices Modernize and secure existing systems and infrastructure with a focus on automating security and compliance while respecting stable operations Create, assess, test and pragmatically apply security controls and processes, build threat models, and perform risk assessments Good hands-on experience of programming in languages such as Python, Java, or similar object-oriented language as well as hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.

Experience introducing security tools to the CI/CD lifecycle (Relevant technologies include: Container Vulnerability Scanning, Security Gates (SAST and DAST), Open Source Audits and Composition analysis, various SIEM technologies for incident and event monitoring).Here’s our story; now tell us yoursDell Technologies helps organizations and individuals build a brighter digital tomorrow.
