Senior DevOps Jenkins Engineer


This is a Contract position in Houston, TX posted August 29, 2021.

The Perficient DevSecOps Enablement Team is tasked with supporting all forms of DevOps automation, including automated builds, security scans, artifact creation, deployment, and running of automated tests.

This team is engaged with clients across the United States on a wide variety of business verticals.

As a part of this team, we are key to resolving technical issues for developers, support for automation of security scanning/resolution, and technological improvements to speed delivery of digital products to customers.

– REMOTE Responsibilities The DevSecOps Jenkins Engineer will be responsible for working closely with the client development to access the current state of CI/CD automation.

This will include a review of the current Jenkins architecture, agent utilization, workflow staging, and performance.

This role will also be responsible for coaching developers on DevSecOps best practices, implementation of CI/CD automation pipelines, and integration of security automation tooling.

Moreover, this resource is expected to provide design level details for CI/CD pipeline improvements and support development teams in resolution of DevOps related issues.

Qualifications The new resource will need familiarity with the following DevOps processes and tooling: Strong Jenkins CI/CD Workflow Management and assessment of Jenkins Controller/Agent architecture Role Based Access Control (RBAC) of Jenkins Operation Center Performance tuning for Jenkins architecture HA/DR for Jenkins CI Traditional implementation Migration of Jenkins workflows to upgraded version Ansible RedHat Infrastructure Configuration Management Atlassian Jira/Confluence Repository Management
– JFrog Artifactory / Sonatype Nexus Repo, etc.
