Your Opportunity

The Data Management team is seeking a Full-Stack Senior Software Engineer to join us in providing intuitive and fabulous front-end experiences and back-end services to support customers seeking to control the data they send to New Relic.

We provide the tools to manage what and how much data customers send, how long it is stored, and expose where data may be limited.

We work in close collaboration with product and design partners and across engineering teams to make sure we’re building the right features to help our customers.

Remote team members will be expected to work out of their home office.

What You’ll Do

Our ideal candidate is someone who can help strengthen our team with their passion for building outstanding software solutions.

You will have the opportunity to:
Build meaningful user experiences that have real customer impact through thoughtful, high-quality code that is easy to read and maintain Implement rich, interactive data visualizations using modern JavaScript and software development techniques in partnership with the other engineers on the team Build robust and reliable services to support our growing UI for customers and internal teams as well as our internal data integration frameworks Solve complex use cases that require close collaboration with product management, product design, and your tight-knit engineering team Increase the impact of one or more team members through mentoring, pairing, and support Use all of the above to deliver joy to our customers!

Your Qualifications

Must-have:
5+ years professional software development experience Professional front-end development experience using a modern Javascript framework, writing performant and reusable components and tests Professional experience and proficiency in one or more server-side languages (e.g.

Elixir, Ruby, Java, Python, Go) Experience querying data from a variety of sources such as GraphQL, REST APIs, or key/value data stores Expertise in software engineering design, concepts, and methodologies Experience working with Git, and workflows around it, such as reviewing PRs and applying best practices reviews Collaborative working style that includes colleagues in important decisions and leads to shared code ownership Experience leading collective efforts of the team to deliver on consistent usability and reliability
Nice-to-have:
Experience with React JS and/or Elixir Experience with TypeScript Experience with or exposure to open source databases like PostgreSQL Exposure to event streaming in general (e.g.

spark streaming) and Kafka in particular Experience with test automation tools Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
