Senior Software Engineer


This is a Full-time position in Austin, TX posted July 17, 2021.


As a member of Oracle’s Financial Services Product Development organization, you’ll work in a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver leading edge On-premise and Cloud solutions for the global marketplace.

Our Development approach is based on a DevOps-centric mindset, combining software development with operations expertise to shorten the development life cycle while delivering features, fixes, and updates frequently, in close alignment with business objectives.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will design, develop and support globally deployed Documaker software and be a critical team member in developing the next generation using the latest technology.

Software Coding using C/C++ and Java-based technologies Secure Coding, Web Services and APIs using the latest technologies Continuous integration for real-time testing and diagnostics Responding to reported incidents and anomalies

Primary Skills
Extensive coding experience in C++, Core Java, JSON, JAX-RS Hands-on experience with Web Services, HTTP, MFC and Oracle ADF Strong problem-solving skills Proven design skills and expertise Fluent with IDE and C++/Java build tools such as GIT, Eclipse, Netbeans, Maven, and Jenkins Experience in working with Oracle Database Tools and administration.

Excellent writing and oral communications skills (in English) Natural collaborator who enjoys working in cross organizational teams residing in multiple time zones Ability to balance new development with work taking on customer support tickets and bug triage ownership

Secondary Skills
Hands on experience in Linux, Unix and Windows server deployments Agile Development and knowledge of Tools such as Confluence/JIRA Practical experience engaging with support teams, sales and product management Exposure to SonarQube, Fortify and WebInspect Tools Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka Good knowledge of current / emerging technologies and trends Good team player willing and able to mentor juniors Experience with Oracle Documaker or other CCM products Experience in the Financial Services Industry domain (Banking or Insurance)
